Presentations on Civil Society Organizations & Enabling Sustainability

We will form groups to work together and present at the same time, as displayed in the class schedule. However, each student will be graded individually. The presentation counts as 10% of your final grade. All students must present.

Some guidelines to consider for your presentation:

  • You will confer in groups organized around geographical areas, such as continents. Within your area, each student will choose a civil society organization that promotes sustainability. The groups provide a way of focusing and sharing your research. The support within the groups should improve the results.
  • Each student, however, will be assessed individually, counting eight points toward your grade for the course.
  • Your individual presentation should be no longer than four minutes long. (We reserve the right to cut off longer presentations.)
  • You may use Powerpoint, or another presentation software package, but please try to limit your individual presentation to six slides and to follow the Rand Corporation guidelines for making presentations.
  • Your choice of topic should demonstrate how a group within civil society can provide leadership for sustainability.

As a result of your presentations, we will witness a wide variety of civic engagements that promote World Sustainability and the enabling analysis.
